A Divine Message of Mercy for NigeriaBy Sheikh Mukadam Habeebullah Olukolu-ZB Abolade (Double Prince – Baba Awori)
This is a message of Rahmah (Mercy) to the people and leaders of Nigeria.
Many religious bodies in our nation have not fulfilled their divine purpose. Despite the spiritual potential of Nigeria, the condition of the nation and the conduct of its religious leadership show that we have yet to rise to the standard set by God.
Let us understand religion in its true spiritual light. For those who are spiritually inclined, religion is not the destination but a bondage to the Truth—a ladder leading to divine realization. This "bondage" is not oppression but a sacred discipline filled with obligations, duties, and divine teachings. When followed with sincerity, humility, and Imān (faith)—not ego or worldly desires—it leads the seeker to the Truth, revealing their divine assignment on earth.
Once a person reaches this level of truth, their original religion serves its purpose by preparing them and eventually releasing them to embrace their higher responsibility before God. As Allah says:
> “And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”
– Qur’an 21:107
And in the Bible:
> "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
– John 8:32
But in Nigeria today, many who claim religious leadership were not truly called or spiritually prepared. Instead of guiding souls through wisdom and example, some resort to manipulation and coercion. Religion is not to be forced upon anyone. The Qur’an clearly states:
> "There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong."
– Qur’an 2:256
Similarly, Jesus (peace be upon him) taught:
> "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me."
– Luke 9:23
Religious leaders are custodians of sacred knowledge. Their duty is to teach the scriptures—whether Qur’an, Bible, or traditional African scrolls—with integrity and love, not violence or competition. If persecution arises, it should be brought before the appropriate authorities, not resolved with retaliation or divisive speech.
Every religion in Nigeria has a divine purpose and addresses specific spiritual needs. Trying to manipulate or coerce people into religious movements not only disrupts national peace but also defies God’s will. It is rebellion and betrayal of divine order—what we may call the act of Judas. Allah says:
> “Do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].”
– Qur’an 2:42
And the Bible warns:
> "Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD.
– Jeremiah 23:1
Let every religious leader and follower be true to their path. Do not be like Satan, who rebelled, or Judas, who betrayed. Stand firm in truth and sincerity.
On the matter of herbs and natural healing formulas not including God forbiddens (eg, killing human being and using their parts for magic or herbs): These are gifts from God for the benefit of all African peoples. Their use is not exclusive to traditional religions. When used for healing and well-being, they are a mercy. But using them for evil, manipulation, or dark spiritual purposes is what God forbids.
The secret cults and deities of traditional worship—such as Ogboni, Sango, and others—belong to those who profess that path. A Christian or Muslim who knowingly joins such practices betrays their covenant with God. This is hypocrisy of the highest order—a Judas act.
> Sheikh Ibrahim Niyas once said:
"A person cannot claim the light of truth while hiding in the shadow of falsehood."
And Sheikh Ahmad Tijani (RA) taught:
> "The servant of God must be loyal to the truth even if it costs him comfort, reputation, or worldly gain."
Repentance is the Door of Mercy
To those who have erred, repentance is still open. Return sincerely to your Lord. Abandon deception and spiritual betrayal. Only then can Nigeria enjoy true peace, unity, and divine favor.
This is why you need to embrace Real Suffism for divine knowledge & Wisdom after reading Religion books and others.
May God guide us all to sincerity and release us into our divine purpose.
Amin.
