The Legacy of Biladu: A Parable of Unity, Wealth, and the Cost of Division
The Legacy of Biladu: A Parable of Unity, Wealth, and the Cost of Division
In a prosperous land long ago, there lived a man named Biladu, a wise, deeply religious, and wealthy patriarch. He was blessed with three wives, each bearing him a son. These sons were known as Yorubah, Hausah, and Igboha—strong, intelligent, and loyal children who served their father with great devotion.
Each son worked in different regions of Biladu's vast lands, overseeing the cultivation of high-quality farm produce. Under their father's guidance, they learned not only the skills of agriculture and trade but also the spiritual wisdom that made their father revered far and wide. Their unity, trust, and coordination became a powerful strategy, attracting demand for their produce from towns, cities, and even foreign lands.
Over the years, Biladu mentored his sons in the secrets of success—honesty, hard work, and unity. But time, as it always does, moved on. A challenging year arrived, and the great Biladu passed away, leaving behind a legacy and a will.
In his final words, he instructed his sons not just to divide the land and wealth but to remain united as one team, just as they had worked together when he was alive. The sons honored their father's wish and continued to work together, growing in prosperity, expanding their families, and carrying forth the glory of their father, Biladu son of Nigeriayah.
But prosperity often invites envy.
Neighboring nations, towns, and cities, seeing the strength of Biladu’s united legacy, sought to break their bond. They used the differences in the sons' maternal lineage—a relic of their polygamous roots—as a weapon of division.
Unfortunately, the seeds of distrust found soil. The brothers who once stood as one began to see themselves as separate entities. The love that once connected them faded into rivalry, and their united strength became fragmented efforts. Their spiritual foundation weakened, their farms lost dominance, and their once-celebrated family name began to fade.
They now struggle with poverty, insecurity, and irrelevance, crying out for a Messiah, for divine help, to restore the glory of Biladu.
This story is more than a tale—it's a mirror.
It reflects the struggles in our families, communities, and nations. Where once unity thrived, division now threatens. Where once we were led by wisdom, we now stumble in confusion.
What is the way out?
The solution lies in returning to unity, spiritual consciousness, and the original values that built the greatness of Biladu’s house—cooperation, understanding, and shared vision.
Dear reader, may this parable ignite a fresh desire in you to heal your family, to mend broken ties, and to contribute positively to your nation’s unity and progress.
